Testing with TMT V125 (just came out)1) All Combo's of Blu-Ray works fine: Disk / ISO / With (and without) AnyDVD HD running2) HD-DVD Disks work fine - With (and without) AnyDVD HD running3) HD-DVD ISO's will not play - With (and without) AnyDVD HD running. I've only got a couple in ISO format and they were created with AnyDVD HD running & they have had AACS removed. They mount fine, if Any DVD HD is running it displays the usual stuff but TMT does little (it looks like it tries to open it for 0.5 sec but nothing happens - no error message.just nothing). I ripped Transformers HD-DVD to my HDD using AnyDVD HD 6.4.7.6 and had it remove AACS. I mounted the resulting.DVD file in VCD 5.4.1.1 and played it with TMT 2.1.6.125. Click to expand.I understand and agree with the results.but I'll going to argue that this is a shortcoming in VCD and the 'DVD' file is just a workaround as Daemon Tools can mount HD-DVD ISO's that play in TMT v125 just fine without the supplementary 'DVD' file. The whole idea is that an ISO contains the entire disk image - imagine if a HW Drive came out that said if the disk inserted is over 8.5 GB then it must be Blu-ray BUT we will let it also play HD-DVD if you tag it first.Slysoft was a big supporter of HD-DVD over Blu-ray and while that argument has been lost what is the suggested way forward for mounting our old HD-DVD ISO? I completely concur. I have a large HD-DVD library, one that was ripped prior to AnyDVD providing the native capabilities to rip HD-DVD/Blu-ray disks. Plus, if anyone is using MyMovies, the ISO is mounted. MM does not support the.DVD file type yet for auto-mounting images.
Brian has plans to incorporate this. Plus, Brian is a big advocate of TMT over any other HD software player. I am currently trying to test TMT over PDVD7.3 to see if it's even worth it to switch to. This is the one stumbling block for me.EDIT And it appears that simply creating the.DVD file by hand is not enough. I think I have it resolved. I removed DT from the Uninstall Programs applet and its associated SPTD driver from Device Manager (selected View - Show Hidden Devices, uninstalled it and rebooted my system.) When I removed the SPTD driver, I noticed that there was an instance of the VCD driver installed and loaded(under Non-Plug-and-Play Drivers - elbyiodriver (sp?).) I also removed it, rebooted my system, and re-installed VCD 5.4.1.1. After that, I was able to mount almost all of my HD-DVD ISOs, TMT would launch and begin playing the movie.I think I have a few corrupt ISOs and I need to re-rip anyways.

If I ever need to access the disk, such as to copy or reload drivers, I don't need to find the disc. I find the ISO file and SlySoft Virtual CloneDrive mounts the ISO file to Windows as if it were the original CDDVD.
